Issues We Help Resolve

Here are some of the most common AC issues we help repair for our customers.

  • Not Enough Cooling: A common complaint is that the unit's cooling capacity isn’t enough to keep the home cool during Utah’s hot summers. In some cases, it could be caused by a frozen system. We'll address this concern by checking the refrigerant level, system airflow, filter condition, coil condition and checking the mechanical components.
  • There is Ice on the Piping, Coil, Furnace or Fan Coil Unit: If you see ice anywhere on your air conditioning system, it is an indicator that your system is out of balance. The unit is clearly producing cooling (hence the ice), but the house is not cooling. This is most often airflow or refrigerant level related. Sometimes the airflow issue is something as simple as a dirty air filter. It may also be that you have closed too many vents in the house or some of your return air grilles are blocked. It can also be a dirty evaporator coil, your blower motor isn’t running, or the refrigerant pressures are low. Our technician will address each of these issues determine why you are having these issues.
  • Weak Airflow: if the air coming out of your vents is less than normal, there is a good chance that either your indoor coil is dirty and partially frozen, there just isn’t any visible ice because it is occurring inside the system where you can’t see it. This is usually a dirty coil or a system that is low on refrigerant.
  • AC compressor malfunctions: The AC compressor is the heart of the system. If it fails, the outdoor unit will not be producing any cooling, but your indoor blower will still be blowing air. The AC will run continuously, but you won’t feel any cold air. Call us today and we can send a technician to get your cooling back on as soon as possible.
  • AC drain issues: Do you have water pooling near your furnace? It could be a clogged AC or furnace drain or your system could be freezing up with ice. Our technicians will be able to unclog and test the drain to ensure your system works at it’s very best.
